Thank you for your interest in the Staying Positive in a Freaked-out World program.

Meggin McIntosh, PhD

Dear fellow “I’m-sort-of-freaked-out-right-now” friends,

When I created the Staying Positive Society a few years ago, it was unimaginable that we would need it now even more than we needed it then.  If at some point the whole world calms down and everyone is peaceful, productive, positive, and pleasant, then I’ll discontinue this personal workshop series…but until then, we all will do what we can to help.

As someone who is profoundly affected by negative energy, it’s been clear for a while how distressed and upset many people have become.  It takes more energy and effort to maintain your positive nature.

The strategies from the Staying Positive in a Freaked-Out World Personal Workshop Series help you stay positive even if other people around you are seemingly going berserk.

You may be willing to help those around you who are freaked out, but first, you need to keep yourself upright and moving forward.  You cannot change or positively affect those around you until you FIRST get yourself situated in a positive place.

Here’s what I know about the people who are natural members of the “Staying Positive in a Freaked-Out World Society:”

  1. You are a little freaked out (wigged out, crazed, scared, unsure, etc.)  This could be due to something that is happening very close to you or it could be happening in the larger world.  But either way, you can feel its impact.
  2. Also, very importantly, you know that these feelings are not your normal or preferred way of thinking and feeling – and that’s a bit of what is freaking you out.  Maybe you are accustomed to feeling ‘in control’ and you are now feeling completely out of control.  Or, maybe you know you are nearly always upbeat and positive but right now, you’re feeling something other than that. Regardless of what it is, you feel somewhat or totally ‘out of whack.’

For the last few years, many people have found that it is taking extra effort to stay in a “happy place.” Our optimism is being tested, to say the least.  And yet, it’s when our optimism is tested that it is most needed.

It takes courage to be optimistic and positive.

You can nurture that courage here.  Thankfully, I hear this from people in this group on a regular basis.

Open hands holding heartsMore than anything else I’ve ever created, the Staying Positive in a Freaked-Out World program is written from my heart to your heart.  Expect it to be personal and to affect you in a personal and powerful way.

I’m following some of what I teach (imagine that!) and simplifying the program a bit because over-complexity can add to being freaked out (and who wants that?) Thus, everything for the Staying Positive in a Freaked-out World program has been integrated into my main site https://meggin.com and will be available in varied ways over the coming year (e.g., Sunday Surprises, programs, mailings, publications).  Be on the lookout for ways to “stay positive in a freaked-out world.”  Obviously, we still need strategies, practices, and mindsets for this.

Sending you a hug.
